This most recent in my water lilies series finds water lilies floating in a pond along the highway in northern Wisconsin. I liked they way these tropical-seeming flowers are framed by pines and prairie flowers. Available in my etsy shop.
My great aunt passed away recently. She was like a third grandma to me. She made everything fun and her lighthearted spirit made a special place seem magical when I was a kid. This painting was done in her memory.
This was a house warming gift for someone special who was missing the farm. Jayne the donkey and Winky the sheep graze in the holler at Firefly Farms, Knoxville.
