Outbound ©2015 maggie capettini 9×12 oil on oil-primed linen panel | SOLD

The historic buildings of Main Street in West Chicago are backed by Turner Court. Here you can get a glimpse of the limestone foundations, and, of course, catch a passing view of a train. To get stopped by a Metra is lucky; after unloading commuters, the outbound sets off for Geneva fairly quickly. If you get stuck by a freighter (or two, or more…or just one that stops on the tracks) you could be in for the long haul.
