Traveling Solo Exhibit Starting April 1st

Hadley Valley: A Year in Seasons

I’m pleased to announce that my series of plein air paintings done at Hadley Valley Preserve will be shown at four Will County Forest Preserve District visitor’s centers from April to October, 2015.

This exhibit has been a year-and-a-half in the making, and my paintings document the beauty of the preserve, as well as the unique character of the many mini-seasons one can experience there.

Programming related to the exhibit includes an Artist’s Reception on April 18th, as well as a plein air painting demonstration at Fall Fest in September.

In all, nearly 30 of my Hadley Valley Preserve paintings, 28 of which were done en plein air, will be on display. A big thank you to the Forest Preserve District of Will County for their support and enthusiasm for this project.

The schedule is as follows:

April 1 – May 15: Sugar Creek Administration Center, Joliet, Illinois

The full collection will be on display.

Artist reception: Saturday, April 18, 2015 • Open house from 2:00-4:30pm with a talk by the artist at 3:00

June 2 – July 12: Isle à la Cache Museum, Romeoville, Illinois

A portion of the collection will be on display.

July 18 – August 31: Four Rivers Environmental Education Center*, Channahon, Illinois

A portion of the collection will be on display. *This facility is open by permit only.

  1. Good luck I hope the event goes well. I don’t know your part of the world at all but you have captured something I can relate to in your painting.
