Ephemeral Spring Flowers

The kids and I went for a wildflower walk in the local woods today. The weather was finally beautiful, the sun was out, and we quite enjoyed ourselves tramping around the still-soggy trails looking for these tiny and beautiful flowers. Though the sun was a joy to feel on our shoulders, it made for not the greatest photo-taking. I’ve adjusted the levels on many of these to compensate for the wash-out created by the strong mid-day sunlight. Enjoy!

  1. Beautiful! I’ll have to head for the woods this weekend – I was thinking it was too early. Look at that Trout Lily – love it. Beautiful photos, Maggie.
